Biography of Reza Shayesteh
Reza Shayesteh is the conductor of Chakavak Grand Orchestra, the responsible director of Awai Chakavak Music School and a member of the Board of Directors of the Iran Music House Teachers Association and also a continuous member of the Iran Music House Musicians Association. He has a master’s degree in music and a master’s degree in environmental engineering.
He learned violin playing from living masters Asadollah Malek, Hassan Etemadi, Ebrahim Lotfi, Homayoun Rajabian and Manouchehr Gudarzi; And he learned music theory, solfege, harmony, counterpoint and orchestration from master Vartan Sahakian, as well as orchestra conducting in the presence of master Nasir Heydarian and master Manouchehr Sohbai.
Reza Shayesteh registered the country’s largest private orchestra with the title “Chakavak Orchestra” in the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in 1377, and has held numerous performances in the Unity Hall, Milad Tower, art center and cultural centers; and also he has participated in the international Fajr music festivals. He has a prominent presence in the national media – radio and television networks.
Four photo albums of “Chakavak Grand Orchestra” have been published in the National Library of Iran after receiving a license from the Ministry of Guidance and Registration.
With his teaching qualification card, Reza Shayesteh has taught the Iranian violin to countless students, and now his skilled and old students have become capable artists themselves, who are engaged in the education and training of those interested in this instrument.
He founded “Avaye Chakavak Music School” – holder of a first-class license from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance – in 2017, and by employing music teachers with university degrees and good experience; He organized numerous student concerts and introduced promising students to the music community.
